What do you do? 10/12/2010

I get this question all of the time. My response is: "I help you finish your kitchen or bath project." You've got an idea, but where do you start? You've been to a few showrooms, and are now more confused/overwelmed.

Picking out tile or stone should be a relaxing process. One that is predetermined and permanent. It is one that you will live with longer than any other. Paint can be repainted. Lights can be replaced. Faucets can be switched. Even the toilet and stove are easier to replace than installed tile and stone. So, why rush it? Why put more emphasis on all of those other areas?

I firmly believe we should be looking at this from the angle of the room should be built around its most durable objects and forms. Have you ever walked in the Vatican? Have you ever seen St. Peter's Cathedral? With stick-built construction, we have learned to rush to build, resulting in less than stellar performing spaces. This is especially why you need a good certified kitchen and bath designer from the beginning. I help you integrate your tile and stone selections with their space and use planning.
